How do I care for my moccasins?

I personally do not have experience using products on my moccasins so I recommend doing a test patch.

Is it cultural appropriation to wear moccasins if I am not Indigenous?

No. By supporting and buying Indigenous made ensures that you are purchasing authentically made. Not only are you supporting the artist’s work, you are also supporting their family and their community as most artists give back to their communities.

Can moccasins be worn outside?

Moccasins can be worn any way an individual choses. However, I do recommend a Vibram sole for regular outdoor wear.

How long will moccasins last?

I cannot give a definitive answer to this question as there are too many variables that will effect the wear and tear. Such as how an individual walks, surfaces worn on, how hard an individual is on their footwear etc.

Why are your prices in USD?

When I began making moccasins in 2014, I did not have my own shop. I sold through two Indigenous online shops, both shops are US. Also the bulk of my supplies come from the US, the majority of my sales are to the US along with worldwide, and a small portion of sales are within Canada. All of this makes it easier and smoother to keep prices in USD. I hope one day I can offer both USD and CAD.

I don’t see children’s or baby sizes?

At this time I do not offer baby or children’s sizes.

Can I combine colours?

Wonderful. This is a great way to add some personal flair. Please leave a note in the additional comments box at checkout with colour combinations and how you would like them combined.

Do you make men’s moccasins?

Yes. Moccasins are unisex. Mens sizes are below the womens sizing in the drop down size selection box on each listing.

Do moccasins come with soles?

Yes. Every pair has a leather sole.
They do not come with an additional sole. If you would like to add an additional sole to your moccasins to protect the leather sole, please be sure to add your sole selection to your cart along with all custom selections before checking out.

Do I need to send a foot tracing?

Foot tracings are only required for specific foot needs ie: wide feet, different sized feet, high arches etc. However if you are unsure and would like to send foot tracings please leave a note in the additional notes box letting me know so I can keep an eye out for the tracings in my inbox. Please be sure to send a scan of tracings along with measurements so I can be sure when printing that they have been printed to size. Please email to: loveineverything@gmail.com.

Can I make changes after the order is in?

I cannot guarantee changes made after an order has been placed.

I placed an order but I was not emailed my invoice.

Please check your junk mail, and mark as “not junk” if you would like your shipping notice to show up in your inbox.

If it is not in your Junk mail, you can shoot me a quick email and I will send you a screenshot of your invoice. Please be patient as I often have a large volume of emails to sort through.

I sent you a message through your contact form but haven’t heard back from you.

Please check your Junk Mail.

If you can’t find a response in your Junk and it has been at least two weeks, please feel free to send another email to loveineverything@gmail.com

I often have a large volume of messages to respond to, so expect a delay in response.

My moccasins are a bit tight. What can I do?

The leather will stretch with wear.

I like to go up and down on my toes and really force my toes to the front of the Mocs to help loosen them. You can also spray with water to help with the loosening.

A light sock can help protect the toes while doing this.

Or if you are not up for the task, you can search for a local cobbler and ask to have them stretched for you.

I have worn through my crepe/Vibram, can it be replaced?

For crepe I have a couple of recommendations, you can seek out a local cobbler or shoe repair shop to find out if they can replace the sole for you, or you can ship them back to me (shipping will be at your own expense) and I can bring them to the cobbler I work with to have a Vibram sole added.

Replacing crepe is incredibly laborious and requires me taking the moccasins completely apart, pulling the crepe off, scrapping and cleaning the leather sole, adding new crepe, and reassembling. This requires a fair amount of time which means it will also end up costing more than having a Vibram sole added.

For Vibram, the cobbler is more than happy to replace or re-glue any soles that have been worn down or are pulling away from the leather.
